What else are you buying with the phone?

I preordered so am getting the Buds+ . I threw in the cheap clear OEM case as well knowing I would get a proper brand case for the rugged one.

So what cases are you all getting?

I cracked my S9+ in a Spigen Liquid Air by accidentally dropping it 1 inch (yes 1 Inch) perpendicular to a table edge. It is vital to me that any case raises up above the side curves. For my replacement S9+ I got Otterbox Pursuit. If drives me bonkers that You Tubers and case manufacturer...

    WiFi Calling not available

Might be based on carrier. I'm scrapping with Rogers here because I had to get an insurance replacement for my S9. Now they claim it isn't a Rogers device so they won't allow wifi calling on it. I tried to fix it twice now. The first time the phone the insurance carrier sent was obviously...

    "view all" long text messages

Hi! I'm sure people here will say just use a different messaging app. However, I have a Gear watch though so it makes sense for me to stick with as many stock apps as possible. I feel your pain but have chosen to disregard this quirk. I don't end up sending or receiving too many long...

    Cover up the purple color???

I would rock that color proudly. Flossy called it the Purple Haze on one of his reviews.

Short SMS messages converting to MMS Messages

Have you activated RCS for texting? Is it also telling you when that person has read the message etc?

    Volume Warning

I'm trying to get that warning to come up now so I can test when it pops up but I can't now. If you use Bixby to "Set media volume to 100%" will the pop up trigger?

Best Cases for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+

Recently switched to an Otterbox Strada (the one that is a folio) on my replacement unit after I cracked my last screen. I like it!

Is a screen protector really necessary?

So I can confirm today that a screen protector won't save your screen. I dropped my phone up 2 inches softly and it broke. How do you drop a phone up you ask? You accidently tip it off the edge of the counter and then with lightning fast reflexes you catch it but follow through by bringing...

Is a screen protector really necessary?

I sold my old s7 without any scratches. I kept it screen protector free and would put on a 10$ plastic film before I went on beach holidays as I know that if there is one thing that will scratch a glass screen its sand. Sold it after 2 years without a even a micro micro scratch. I honestly...

Galaxy S9 - Case for Protection Recomendations

+1 for spigen they have the full gammet. On my S7 I had a Spigen Thinfit. I loved how it felt but no drop protection. I didn't want to get into a bulkier case because I keep my phone in dress pants pocket. For my S9+ I got the Spigen Liquid Air which I never really noticed before. I really...

Switch from Samsung Messages to Android Messages so I can use RCS... worth it?

If I had to guess... and this is purely speculation I would think it might be had to do with something going sideways with the implementation of RCS.

How do I turn off suggested replies on a galaxy s9?

If it is Android Messages you are using. That is an option in settings. Use that dot dot dot menu upper right then settings then smart reply. Toggle it off. Personally I just started playing around with Android Messages and I kinda like that feature. It is often very accurate in...

    Samsung Messages bug

The issue I'm finding is that it isnt baked into a standard. So still you end up trying to convince your friends to use a certain app. Eg. In Canada RCS on Samsung 9 is in the Android Messages app with Roger's but in the stock Samsung app with Bell. It's crazy, and still not unifying.

Switch from Samsung Messages to Android Messages so I can use RCS... worth it?

Geez. Just noticed a cool feature on my stock samsung app now. If you hold on the text message an option comes up to send to reminder. It then goes to my reminder widget to help me remember to reply later. Brilliant. So now I'm really torn about switching away from stock just for rcs.
