Most of what you're asking can be done via root access, however my internal card is human readable, no funny strings. Thats both using Samsung rom and CM13

Were these files on internal or external storage. If external your SD card may be dying and therefore corrupted what was on it. If its internal the same could happen but less likely.

It really depends on your device. What phone are you using? Stock ROMs or custom ROMs?

Not everything can be moved to SD card; playstore, spotify etc. Try on something else; some games, skype, facebook. They can be moved. If nothing can be moved then it is perhaps a bug but i have noticed some things simply dont allow transferring to sd card. Posted via the Android Central App

Guess it must be dependent on the launcher ? Ive had close all and the ability to pin recents that i dont want to close as well since lollipop on my G4. Posted via the Android Central App
