Update. Swapped provider from ee to plusnet. They sent me a new router and they were a little cheaper. Best thing is that the wifi hasn't dropped once in 8 days. Never going back to ee.

Hi, sorry but I can't help, but will say that I also have a LG G2 and an EE brightbox suffering with the same problems. Tried everything here with no luck. EE have been no help - they just get me to change channel on the router or tell me there is something wrong with my phone, but it works fine...
