I'd really love to give Project Fi a go. The Nexus 6 seemed just too cumbersome to use to me when it was the only choice for Fi. Now that the 6P is here with its better ergonomics, I'm interested again!

Thanks, I hadn't really looked into Sony. It seems like a solid device. Unfortunately the Z1 Compact doesn't support Band 17 which is one of the bands AT&T uses. That means the phone will have no LTE coverage in some areas.

Failed upgrade, lost 4G I'm trying to upgrade my wife's rooted 246 ICS Bionic to Jelly Bean, but haven't yet been successful. I thought I returned it to stock (restored stock recovery, unfroze all apps, reverted a certain change to the settings db). I used Voodoo OTA Rootkkeper. But it failed...
