Fully draining the battery over 2-3 weeks won't make any difference in the long-term life of the battery. But if you do that every time for months, it increases wear and reduces battery life. As Rukbat noted, keeping the battery between 40-60% is best for long-term battery health.

The biggest selling point of the Note is the Spen. No other phone on the planet offers a stylus/pen with the same level of integration and features. Obviously you don't have to use it, but you pay quite a premium for it. Excluding the Spen, microSD availability and battery size, the S20 specs...

xda developers is a good place to start for general android and captivate-specific topics. but the SuperOneClick method is proly the easiest way to root your captivate. the video walkthrough makes it a no-brainer
