I'm sure that is the case, but customization options can be a huge selling point as well. Perhaps they don't even know there's interest in more bands, its not like they're really playing up "customizable/changeable bands" as a feature.

If you do happen to get the callback, I would LOVE you if you indicated interest in more band/strap options to them. Right now the selection is barren/nonexistent, so it would be terrific if they could do something about that...or if they knew someone who COULD even.

I imagine it would work something like the Otterbox. A soft, rubberized housing goes around the edges of the watch face and that piece then slides inside a metal band. It would probably be at least two pieces.

Does this app work over 3G or must you be connected via bluetooth to use it? Would be kind of interesting to leave my phone at home and set it up somewhere while out on a run or something and be able to check up on the house while out.

For what it's worth guys I just sent Samsung an email. I asked them if they could do anything in the way of more official accessory support for the Gear S, or if they could work with some of their partners to try and get more interest in making bands/accessories for the watch. I'll let you all...

I know there's been some buzz over on the XDA Forums about needing more bands as well. For those of you with the watch/extra bands, what seems to be the likelihood of making a "watch band adapter" out of a replacement strap? I'd really like a nice, metal band but no one seems to be making one...
