    I was able to pick a new s6 edge plus for $400 ...this sounds like a much better alternative to shelling out full price for an s7 edge ...am I missing something here? is there something deficient about the s6? ...from what I see its nearly identical sans the waterproofing, sd card, and processor.

    That's exactly my point ..nothing should change. The response I got was "our system isn't smart enough to handle the recall and this is how we have to do it" ...they are pretty much pocketing at least 1 month's worth of installment payments.

    Please name any other retailer where if you go exchange a device (especially when you're exchanging it because of a manufacturing fault and not just because you changed your mind) you have to pay extra for the time you had it with you. Had the recall not happened I would have never had to pay...

    without root your phone should have been able to make voice calls but data will not work unless you root and enter in the foreign carrier's APN info

    they didn't "restrict" it.. the app needs a certain piece of code for multi-window to work any developer could include that code and their app will work with it

    uhs-1 is not a format use mini to format your sd card as fat32/primary and you wont have any problems
