Try going to date and time and make sure a time format is checked, example 24 hr format, or change the format. This may fix your problems... Hard to believe but it worked with on my phone after it updated and was giving that error message Posted via Android Central App

Since my Galaxy 3 updated I couldn't dial any phone number without "unfortunately, contacts has stopped working" popping up. I read on the forum to go to date and time and change time format...and that fixed the problem! Posted via Android Central App
