Thanks for the info, Beut. I think you may be right that the USB port on my tablet may be damaged. I've tried it on different computers and get the same result. I think I'm going to just replace the port and see what happens.

I haven't connected my Tab S 8.4 to my Windows 10 PC since before it updated to Marshmallow 6.0.1. Now when I connect I get a red X over the battery indicator and my PC doesn't even recognize my tablet. I've read that you have to shut off the tablet in order for it to charge from the PC...

Well I tried it on a different WiFi network (I even used my phone as a hotspot) and it seemed to work fine. So I got to thinking maybe it's my router. I rebooted my router and voila! .... it works fine on my home network. Posted via the Android Central App

I just got a Galaxy Tab S 8.4. I haven't installed many apps but some of the ones I do have (Facebook, Wikipedia e.g.) seem to load extremely slow. Also, when I go the Google Play Store, the apps you can download show up but the icons take an extremely long time to load. Chrome is working fine...
