Last time I posted here it was about my LG-G2. I have since upgraded to a Note 3. I have spent a week trying to find out how to re-enable my notification sounds but everything I read keeps referring me to Blocking Mode, which is off and has never been on. Here's what I see in my volume controls...
Since I don't see any more comments here am I to believe you cannot, at this time, root a LG-D801 that is running Android Ver. 4.4.2, Kernel Ver. 3.4.0 without reverting to a previous Android Version?
Thanks in advance,

Restore thru LG PC Suite is complete after factory reset. I'll give GSam time to collect data and post screen captures here tomorrow. Is that enough time? If this gets my battery life to pre - 4.4.2 then I want thank everyone who's posted in this thread.
BTW: This was my first (and hopefully...
Finally both back-ups are finished (LG software back-up & media) so after restoring the OS I'll be happy to post my results in the hope that someone can determine the problem that apparently I am not the only one dealing with.
Ok, interesting, then I have to wonder if a factory reset will alleviate the problem I'm having. Since reading the suggestion I have been backing up the phone using the PC LG software and also my media.
I was afraid that the possible fix would be to do that. Won't be the first time. I am curious about something. What version will the factory reset install? When I upgraded to KitKat 4.4.2 did my 'restore image' also get modified?
I also have the LG G2 and was very happy with the battery life until I updated to 4.4.2 about 2 weeks ago. That's without a doubt when the phone started having this battery life problem. The system update was the only change I made so that's how I know. I will get the battery monitor app...
