I bought a Pixel 2 XL from Verizon and inserted my T-Mobile SIM card from my Note 8. Worked immediately.

The iPhone X has the nicest screen on the market in my view. Made by Samsung and tuned by Apple. Doesn't get much better than that. But it's still an iPhone and it costs a ridiculous fortune.

It depends on the build date in my experience. December and later build dates are good.

I'm biased towards OLED displays. I've preferred them since 2012. So I think it's a far better display than any iPhone other than the iPhone X. But it's a very subjective thing.
