I think there will be a ROM soon. CM will have one that will work in a few months. I would not hold your breath for an official OS.

Guilty... and missing the flexibility of Android a bit already! There are advantages and disadvantages of each platform. I could use any of them, but I highly suspect I will be back to Android in the next 6 months to a year.

I will add to what has been said, as a former BB 8830>Storm1>Bold>Storm2 user myself! First, rooting is a little overwhelming at first. If you take the time to read and learn, you will get it. You have to downgrade the current OS version on the Dinc2 to do it, but it works well when you do it...

That is true. The most current stock Android OS for the phone is 2.3.4. You can go higher if you root, but until Android 4.0 ICS ROM's become available, you won't notice much of a difference from the OS version alone. Custom ROM's can give you lots of new features however from the interface...

Wrong. You can simply downgrade per the instructions on XDA, root, and then install another OS. Most OS's out there are Android 2.3.4 or higher. Plus I think the Talk in 2.3.4 has video chat, even stock. It did on mine.

It cracks me up that we all believe that if our phones don't get new OS's or updates every 3 months they are obsolete. The same goes for the hardware cycle. Compared to BlackBerry, etc the OS updates are incredible on Android, even if Sense 3.0 or 3.5 does not come to the phone. I agree it would...

I just did this with my phone following jcase's guide on rootzwiki. My phone was Alpharev s-off. It worked perfectly.
