Try any of the following to kill "x" icon: 1. Click on ‘Recent Apps’ hot key and see the list of running apps. Here you can see picture of an app with red ‘x’ icon. Long press that app and click on ‘App info’ and select ‘Force stop’. Now remove this app from recent Apps to remove the 'x" icon...
