Google is pushing out an updated Chromecast build 13300 right now, I hope this addresses this issue.

Well, 2 out of 4 apps now work as advertised on Razr/Maxx/Bionic. I have a feeling Google will update Google Movies/TV soon because it is a revenue generator. However Netflix just came out with an update recently that didn't fix this and they usually take forever so I'm sure that free 3 months...

Your Bionic now can cast Google Play Music/Movies/TV and Netflix? I got the update and my Bionic now recognizes my Chromecast, but it still will not cast Google Play Music/Movies/TV and Netflix.

I guess I wasn't very clear when I said "It's still not working". I don't speak any other languages so I'll just type it slower this time. It's-still-not-working...

Even after the Netflix update it's still not working. I guess it's time to upgrade phones anyway...

Looks like they updated the Android Netflix app with "Fixes and optimization for devices running Android 4.3". Hopefully this will fix the ChromeCast situation for certain devices (Razr, Maxx,Bionic) running 4.1.2. I will test it tonight. Here's the Google Play link...

Now Google and Netflix are aware of this issue and the response from Google is below: "Thank you for contacting us. Razr / Razr MAXX / Droid Bionic running Android 4.1.2 have a known issue where Play Movies & Play Music don't display the cast icon as expected. Our team is aware of the issue...

Thanks for that possible solution to Netflix CyaniCs. I might have to finally root, however do you have the ability to Chromecast in Android Google play Music/Movies TV apps? Also, I notified NetFlix customer support of this possible software bug, so hopefully they will fix it soon!

Re: Chromecast bug on certain Verizon phones? There's other Chromecast/Bionic users having this issue with Jellybean 4.1.2 in the comments from this article below, so it's a legitimate problem. Also, my phone is not rooted...
