    1440p Downloads?

Has anyone found a good place to download 1440p videos to the Note 4? I'm new to Android, so I'm not familiar with any processes of downloading videos to the phone, so any insight would be appreciated. Posted via the Android Central App

    DoubleTwist Users?

Anyone using DoubleTwist to get their iTunes media onto the Note 4? Any issues with it? And are we able to sync everything to the SD card? I'm attempting to sync now, and it's showing no progress after an hour. I'm wondering if maybe it's an issue writing to the SD card? Posted via the Android...

Note 4: Do you keep fast charging on?

Yea. Regular usage damages batteries. That's why all batteries eventually need to be replaced. They engineered these chargers specifically to prevent any more damage than normal charging. So many unnecessarily paranoid people here. Lol. Posted via the Android Central App

Note 4: Do you keep fast charging on?

I am also an engineer. Please explain your PERspective. I don't understand how you are looking at it from an engineering perspective if these chargers were engineered specifically to prevent damage... Posted via the Android Central App

    Included fast charger, DEAD.

I've had this for a while now. Just timed it and the AFC Samsung charger the other day, and they were near identical from 5%-75%. Great backup charger for 12 bucks, I think. Posted via the Android Central App

Note 4: Do you keep fast charging on?

I can also disable wifi, bluetooth, mobile data, screen rotation, location services, and TONS of other options. None of this means it is harming your device to enable it. Like I said, the technology was created as a way of charging faster WITHOUT any additional damage. The circuitry specifically...

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Video playback on YouTube

Re: Video playback on YouTube Got ya. My caps words are purely for emphasis. No frustration on my end or anything. I enjoy these discussions. I would really enjoy being able to watch 1440p videos on my phone without them skipping. Have you found any that don't skip yet? I found one that wasn't...

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Video playback on YouTube

Re: Video playback on YouTube No, I'm def aware of the difference in bits and bytes. Lol. My final conversion was converted to Mbps from MBps, as that is what I typically get speed test results in. My point is that you are unnecessarily increasing the buffer time (exactly how much is dependent...

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 4k video skipping

No, 2560p IS 4K. The Note 4 does NOT support 4K. It supports QHD, which is the 1440p. And yes, most people are getting skipping. It's not your connection. It's a fairly new resolution, so they've obviously got some bugs to work out. Again, this is most likely the reason the YouTube app will not...

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Video playback on YouTube

Re: Video playback on YouTube You do not get to see ANYTHING in 4K resolution on the Note 4. So no, you can't tell a difference because there is no difference to be seen. If you select 4K video, you are still only seeing 1440p. Posted via the Android Central App

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Video playback on YouTube

Re: Video playback on YouTube Let's take the 4K movie Timescapes, for example. 52 minutes, 120GB in size. That's over 2GB a minute. With some approximation, that comes out to over 260 mb/s. Tell me how many people you know who have an Internet speed that high. 4K WILL BUFFER. Feel free to...

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Video playback on YouTube

Re: Video playback on YouTube Look guys! It's 4K! Um. Doesn't look any better to me. Well, I can only show it to you in 1440p. But it was originally recorded in 4K. Look at it! Look at me! Posted via the Android Central App

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Video playback on YouTube

Right. Well according to your logic, if anything buffers, it's the connection's fault. You are completely ignoring the fact that you are slowing down the speed at which you can view the video for NO reason. Unless, of course, you want to show off to your friends the fact that your phone can play...

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Video playback on YouTube

There are so many holes in your logic. Buffer time depends on two things: the size of the file you are downloading and the speed at which you are able to download said files. Larger files require longer time to download. 2160p files are MUCH LARGER than 1440p. Also, you're showing off 1440p(QHD)...
