Is there a tutorial on rooting w/ the latest build?

Sorry, new to rooting android devices still. I need to edit a config for the hotspot on my phone, and it seems unlocking the bootloader + rooting is the only way to do this. Is there a tutorial for this with the latest build? Or similar, at least? Also, am I correct in believing the phone...

Phones around 4.8"-5.2" with mid to high specs

One of the best phones I've owned, tbh. Camera is pretty good, fast, responsive, haven't been able to slow it down yet - believe me I've tried.

Phones around 4.8"-5.2" with mid to high specs

Thanks for the suggestions. Matty, yes, I have no idea why they keep getting bigger and bigger. They may as well equip all phones, phablets, and tablets, as well as anything I left out, with LTE and put a phone app on them.

Phones around 4.8"-5.2" with mid to high specs

I figure while I'm on the eternal wait list for a Google Pixel 5", I thought I'd explore alternatives.Unfortunately I have t-rex hands and larger frame phones (5.5" or so) ... yea, they aren't a good fit for me. I really like the OnePlus 3T but it's just too big. Does anyone have any...

    What's the deal with inventory?

Bit of backstory - I fell/tripped at the beginning of January with my Blackberry Priv in hand. On landing (Crashing, really) the phone broke. I attempted to use my accidental care from Blackberry and the company backing it had no blackberry privs in stock. About two weeks ago I gave up on...

Since 2.2 this is what's not working

You know.. I posted in that thread here.. but of course, it didn't get attention, a reply, or anything. Youtube App > not widget.. > video cannot be played, on almost all videos. HTC Mail app.. on accounts configured as exchange > cannot open attachments of any kind > says they are...

BB blacktie can suck it, Sprint Service center is amazing.

Phones sent to repair with BB GSBTP (Best Buy geek squad black tie protection) are sent to the geek squad repair center. Not to HTC, Blackberry, Samsung, etc... contrary to what they may have told you, or what you may have *assumed*. They repair phones based on accumulated parts from other...

I have an evo, and it's a little screwy. I want to nuke it back to factory normal. Wipe the entire rom off of it, and re flash it. Is there a pc based utility that does this ? the reset from the phone isn't good enough, in the event the OS image being stored on the phone is corrupted. thanks!

Evo 4g Android 2.1 > HTC Mail App (not native gmail app) does it push gmail?

Sure , if you have hotmail (you'd need paid hotmail to do this suggestion)... you can forward your hotmail to your gmail, tell hotmail to leave a copy in your hotmail inbox (if you want), go to gmail, and tell it to match the to: your email address @ hotmail.com (or whatever domain you want)...

Evo 4g Android 2.1 > HTC Mail App (not native gmail app) does it push gmail?

Does the native HTC Mail app in Sense UI, push gmail? Or any other IMAP connections that support the IDLE command? Or does only the native gmail app push gmail? I ask, because I have multiple email accounts on my phone, gmail, hotmail, etc.. gmail is on the native gmail app, which is currently...
