Samsung is no better for updates. If anything they are worse.

Whoever is doing these fullscreen ads is very clever about hiding it. Malwarebytes never detects it either..... it just popped up now while I was typing this. It's always a Google play store app it displays. It's really annoying me. It also disappears when I view recent apps.

That is usually how it is when there is some review telling how great some cheap tablet is compared to a brand name one. They just leave out the details of features, and the cheaper tablets most likely are using cheap parts inside it. I'm sure its using the cheapest flash storage they could...

That video sounds more like a paid advertisement. He obviously is being biased. The battery isn't bad like he is making the Note 8.0 out to be. The speakers directly on the back of that tablet he is showing is a HUGE negative. You will not be able to use any case on it, unless it has holes...

Thats a big problem with Google, its seems impossible to contact them. Just like youtube, they give zero ability to contact them. I would bet heavily that their "support" number is just some call center that isn't even connected to google. Probably in another country. They are never any help.

I have seen the gps stop also. Using the "gps test" app, I have seen it happen many times. Usually between 3 to 10 minutes. The tablet then needs to be rebooted to fix it.

I agree, the screen is fine. To my eyes it looks great. The text is sharp and there is no pixilation.
