    weak speaker

Well, now, it's May 2012 and even after the ICS update the sound on the Sensation is poor! Pairing it with the Plantronics Backbeat Go was a sad experience and I was just about to return the earbuds when I found this thread. I tried Volume+, no go; Equalizer, couldn't really tell and didn't...

[HOW-TO] Download, Run CM7 off SD Card (Easy to follow! No root!)

Re: [HOW-TO] Download, Run CM7 off SD Card (Easy to follow! No ro +1 for noting the piecemeal procedure. It took me two days of searching forums and trying everything I knew to finally get this working. This is the only place I have found where it specifically states that piecemeal works. Other...

Nookie Foryo Root Question: Do Read to Me books work?

I left stock untouched and run Nookie Froyo, HC and CM7 all from SD cards. When I want to read with the grandchildren, I just pop out the card and I am back to stock and read to me stories.

How voided is my warrant? (=

I don't know the answer to your question but I can say that I my first Nook had the same problem that yours does: a popping noise from the back cover. Hubby took it in and checked the store model and it was nice and tight. I was able to exchange it for a new one and it was just fine. But that...

Pros/ cons to HoneyComb on Nook Color

I have run stock, rooted stock, HC, Froyo and CM7. While I like HC, I agree with the above comments. I have two Nooks and elected to keep stock on both and run Froyo on one and CM7 on the other, both from SD cards. One of the only two apps that I have ever purchased and use daily doesn't work...

[TIPS] for adb "device not found" error

Okay, this may seem simplistic, but very often when I get the device not found message, I have not turned on usb storage on the NC itself. I am just throwing this out there because I see a post above where the poster mentions that once he did this, that problem was solved. If you are already...

Cellular related battery usage problem on Rooted Stock?

I used the workaround and evidently suffered the placebo effect. LOL! I noticed a difference in battery consumption. However, if you are using it for heavy battery consumption apps, you won't see or feel much difference.

    Back panel a little loose?

+1. My first Nook actually made a small popping noise due to a "bubble" in the back cover. It was exchanged with no problem and the other two Nooks that I own have nice firm backcovers.

    Restoring microsd card?

I use my Android phone to reformat mine. I can't remember if I also used Easeus to reformat but check into it. Just Google for the program.

    Please Convince/Help Me

Just so you know, you can start off easy and then go hard-core! I decided to leave the stock rom on the NC and just run HC and Froyo off SD cards. I can pull out the cards and presto, it's just the same as the day I bought it. I do plan to try an internal custom rom and that's why I am getting a...

Nook Color on Sale for $199 today only

It's interesting to note that B&N is the seller, which prompted me to buy. I wonder why the deal? But I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth. (I actually know what this little saying means!)

[TIPS] Nookie Froyo tips & Work-arounds

I'm no expert at this but you have your slashes backwards. \ is for Windows and / for adb. I was able to load my files to the NC by zipping them first, moving them to the platform-tools folder (I renamed mine to T!) and then using the push command. For example: ad push music.zip /sdcard/ I...

Froyo SD- ADB Issues advice/info needed

Avi, thank you, thank you, thank you! I have tried adbWireless before but, because I misunderstood the instructions, I never got it to work before. True confession time: I typed the address into my computer's browser instead of in a command window. This is what I did when working with my router...

Froyo SD- ADB Issues advice/info needed

Interestingly, I have never seen my NCs serial number when I loaded adb. I thought I would, based on the instructions I followed, but all is get is: 11223344556677. Since I just glanced at it the first time and THOUGHT I was seeing the serial number, I went right ahead with pushing files. It was...
