Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - Does anyone else think the camera sucks?

Re: Does anyone else think the camera sucks? You have to remember that it is a phone camera not a high end professional or prosumer camera. I recently bought a Nikon D600 for $3000 USD. That is a decent camera. A good lens for it runs a bit more than the Note 3 off contract. Even so, good...

    ear buds/headphones?

I have a pair of over ear Sennheisser M550-x Bluetooth headphones that are very nice. Great sound, light weight, soft leather ear cups. Can be used wireless (BT) or cabled. On BT battery lasts ~8 hrs but not needed when cabled. They are noise canceling, which ups the price a bit (quite a bit)...

    [ROM][CWM][EL30] Stock/Deodexed Gingerbread EL30

Paul & all Devs - Thanks so much for this. I had unrooted Gps_fix installed; tried to revert back to EI22 gps file to allow the OTA EL30 update not realizing that it would hang due to CWM. So I rooted & ran this after makinf Nandroid & TiB backups (belt & suspenders?). Super smooth, no probs...

Sprint let me cancel my contract

Interesting that you would see a difference in the display because the two phones have the same screen, CPU, memory & cameras (front & rear) according to Engadget review (Dec. 17, 2011). I was just in Phoenix & the reception wasn't great, but not as bad as parts of suburban San Diego (at my...

Has anyone received EL30 OTA Update

Got the dl last night; can't update cause I have the non-rooted GPS_fix.zip. I think I'll wait to see what toadlife does with Clean GB & EL30. Would be nice to get good GPS w/o keyboard skipping!

    OTA Gingerbread EI22 update issues

Paul, don't you mean EI22 GB instead of EG22? (Thanks for ALL of your hard work BTW)

Has anyone received EL30 OTA Update

Nothing yet; home is NJ but I'm in San Diego right now. I have stock GB by manual download but with non-rooted GPS_fix.zip installed. Anyone know if that will that affect OTA update?

    Anyone into library reading?

I've used Aldiko reader for a long time. I like it a lot: great for all the free classic (post-copyright) literature. There's a lifetime of excellent reading available for free. BTW, I tried the library app right after you first posted. My lib was listed but then I couldn't view catalogue or...

What's next for Epic users, and when?

Cerobles1, Yes, the Samsung car dock has a micro USB cable port and a mini phone jack port on the back of the dock, on the sliding "dock connector". This connector slides into the phone's micro USB to connect dock to phone but blocks access to the phone's mini phone jack (audio out) port at the...

    Screen turning pinkish...

Stumped! Sounds like non-screen hardware issue. Paul627g is usually right, so a refurb may be in your future.

soo....are they gonna fix the GPS problem or not..

Seems to be true for many of us ... something doesn't work that we need/want so rooting may be the solution. I'm thankful there are devoted devs out there who figure this stuff out & solve these probs ... but it really shouldn't be necessary (IMHO).

USC, glad to hear your GPS & Nav are working. One small victory at a time. I liked & used TeleNav 'cause it worked. I'll stick with it for now til it crashes.

    Thoughts on CM7

Everything I've read about Legendary sounds good. Does it have the Dock Sound Redirect working?

    Screen turning pinkish...

You mean that the screen looks OK when you run through the Screen Test app screens? "Tap the screen to start" and then you get grey, then black, then darker grey, red, green, blue, light grey, etc. each time you tap the screen? If so, that sounds like the screen hardware is working but it could...

soo....are they gonna fix the GPS problem or not..

I switched to TeleNav today instead of using Google Nav to test the lockup issue and had no problems to or from work today. So I'm thinking the lockup issue may be a Google Nav problem and not a GPS or system problem. I'll keep trying it for a few days. I switched to using Google Nav just...
