Moto X: terrible battery life on standby

I take that back. My phone was only good for 2-3 days after the 4.4.4 update. Now the Android OS is again taking the top spot, consistently, everyday. Grrrrrr. Battery life is just as bad, or worse as the 4.4.2. I am completely fat up with it, and went with a LG G2. It's been 2 weeks and I...

    Moto X vs. LG G2

I've had both phones, LG G2 is the better one, hands down. The battery life is insane on G2, then the camera, the screen. These 3 factors sealed the deal over the Moto X.

    Verizon Moto X: 4.4.4 KitKat Update (212.56.26.ghost_verizon.Verizon.en.US)

Why wait for X+1, if the LG G2 already has a much better camera, and that is what he is looking for in a phone? Also, given the track record of Motorola, I wouldn't put too much hope on X+1 having a much superior camera. I actually don't remember any Motorola phones with a good camera.

    Verizon Moto X: 4.4.4 KitKat Update (212.56.26.ghost_verizon.Verizon.en.US)

Re: Verizon Moto X: 4.4.4 KitKat Update Also downloaded and installed manually from Android life link. A question about the camera image quality improvement. Is that only for the default Moto X camera app, or is it a system wide tweak that affects all camera app's image quality? If the...

    4.4.3 - An improvement? Camera?

Here is a fundamental question that I have not yet find the answer: When they say improved camera quality, does that only apply to the Moto X's default camera app? Or is there a system level tweaking that made all camera apps taking better pictures?

Moto X: terrible battery life on standby

Now that Moto X verizon is finally updated to 4.4.4, problem solved. I don't see Android OS been on the very top of battery consumption anymore, matter of fact, you have to look for Android OS now, it is the 7th item on my battery consumption list, with merely 6%.

Never mind, I got it, it shows as a dialog when first opening the app :)

Moto X: terrible battery life on standby

Wow, that's nice, now that's the kind of battery life I am calling satisfactory :) Btw, what option you selected to make it to 3G in that LTE on/off app?

    Verizon Moto X: 4.4.4 KitKat Update (212.56.26.ghost_verizon.Verizon.en.US)

Re: Verizon Moto X: 4.4.4 KitKat Update There are few important fixes in the Android 4.4.3 and 4.4.4, most notably battery fixes. The battery life in 4.4.2 took a big hit for Moto X, a lot of users have complains about that, you guys not noticing?

Moto X: terrible battery life on standby

I didn't say there is anything Motorola did wrong. Your points well taken. And no, I don't like to use my Nexus 4 over Moto X, despite it has a better battery life at this moment. Battery life is not the only determination point of using a phone, else I'll still be using my flip phones which...

Moto X: terrible battery life on standby

But the "Android OS" statistic here is a real problem, in many different devices that are running Android 4.4.2, not just from Moto X's active notification & listening. Google it and you will be delighted how many devices are affected. I am not making up stories, from Android 4.4.2 to Android...

Moto X: terrible battery life on standby

Please no, not the Galaxy Nexus, you don't compare battery life to the worst... The screenshot you have, 2 hours screen time, 24 hours of total use, with battery at 1%, that is not satisfactory to me, my friend. Coming from the Galaxy Nexus, I can imagine why you're completely satisfied...

Moto X: terrible battery life on standby

Re: Moto X terrible battery life on standby I also have the same problem as the OP. Terrible standby battery (2-3% per hour), note I did not mention terrible battery from normal use, just standby, which is what this thread is about. Android OS takes majority part of the battery from the...

    Moto X: Moto X vs Rooted Galaxy S4 (April'14)

Re: Moto X vs Rooted Galaxy S4 (April'14) I find people on these forums are bit too harsh on Samsung Galaxy and iPhones in general. Just because they capture the most general public, does not automatically make them bad phones. I own both S4 and a Moto X. I currently use a Moto X, and gave the...

Any Galaxy SIII users get a Nexus 4? What are your impressions?

I see that most users here prefer a Nexus 4 over Samsung S3. I own both devices, and Galaxy S3 is still my main device, with reasons below: 1. Praise pure Android experience, while trashing Samsung TW UI. This is by far the most arguments I've seen. What I don't understand is, if you don't...
