    usually voicemails do trigger charges. your best bet is to reach out to your carrier to have them temporarily blocked inbound calls as mentioned earlier 🙃

    can your network bar/block incoming calls? usually there's a network setting (in the carrier's system) to do so. in that case, you would have incoming calls blocked and then just avoid making outbound calls.
