    Some important details about T-Mobile's 30/Month 4G

Re: Some important details about T-mobile's 30/Month 4G I believe both of you are misinformed. Like I said, I have heard of instances of where people have activated non wal-mart or t-mobile bought phones being activated on the 30/month 5GB plan. However on T-mobile's website it says under...

Previous Sprint users: Throttled 2G Vs. Sprint 3G

I disagree. Last month I was only on EDGE for 2 days before my billing cycle started again. EDGE can do most anything that doesnt involve streaming or downloading media, just takes a while. Like checking my facebook or browsing the news. And I have the option to renew early if I wanted to...

    Some important details about T-Mobile's 30/Month 4G

I've browsed the T-mobile forum here and noticed a lot of speculation and misinformation about the $30/Month 100 Minutes of Talk/Unlimited Text/Unlimited data plan so I thought I would share some thing's I've learned from personal experience here that should be known to those considering it...

Previous Sprint users: Throttled 2G Vs. Sprint 3G

No really?. Seriously though, its obvious if you get solid sprint 3G service in your area and spotty 4G T-mobile coverage. However this was comparing slow 3G sprint coverage to T-mobile Edge, a 2G or Second generation technology, which isnt fair if your trying to say "T-mobiles Edge isnt...

$30 plan 100 min prepaid - only new activations?

Some people have reported success in getting T-mobile to allow outside phones for new activations on the 30/month however in the agreement between wal-mart and t-mobile, phones purchased at Wal-mart or the T-mobile website are supposed to be the only ones eligible for the plan. So if you could...

..that $30 100 min, Unlimited Text, Unlimited Data (throttled at 5GB) plan?

I don't think this is true. I looked up refilling your account and I believe you can renew your billing cycle early, you'll just lose any minutes you have remaining. I guess I'll find out when I hit my cap. As the others have said, there is nothing free with prepaid. However it's still far...

Previous Sprint users: Throttled 2G Vs. Sprint 3G

Comparing the two technologies isnt fair. However T-mobile's prepaid kills virgin mobile (Sprint MVDO). I was getting about 200kbps at night where I work. Now I'm on T-mobile and get 2-7MbPS. Coverage is way better too.

I'm looking at T-mobile $30 Unlimited prepaid plan and have a question.

NO. It will not work if you want the 30/month 5gb of 4g and 100 minutes plan. That plan is for new subscribers who purchased their phone at wal-mart or t-mobile's website. People who bring their own GSM phone or buy monthly 4G phone somewhere else will not be allowed to select that plan and...

    Galaxy Proclaim on Straight Talk

Okay so I've been reading about Straight Talk warning people after using as little as 2GBs a month, however it seems to be carrier specific. Sprint androids such as the Optimus Black seem to have very liberal data allowances (many threads I've seen show people using 10 GBs or more without a...

    4G teases Gainesville, Fl

They also upgraded a tower in Alachua. Pretty good coverage if you ask me, with Ocala, Alachua, and Jacksonville coverered

    4G teases Gainesville, Fl

Verizon expanded 4G service in Gainesville today. They added towers in west Gainesville, adding coverage well past I-75. No additional coverage eastward though.

Alternative to Motorola Triumph - Samsung Exhibit II 4G

I thought about it before buying my triumph. My problem is that T-mobile throttles your data down to 2G after 5 GB. I know virgin is supposed to soon, after 2.5, however they limit your throughput speeds to 256K. I can still watch netflix, crackle and so on at that speed. And I watch a LOT...

Does rooting and ROMming fix GPS issues?

If all your looking for is a fix to GPS locking problems, there are several apps in the market that fix GPS lock on problems. I used this on my Thunderbolt when I had it, will use it on the triumph when I get it. One example...

    EasyTether and VZW

I had a friend who uses easytether and has so for at least 3 months. He streams netflix on his laptop and averages 20 GBs a month. He hasn't heard anything yet. Verizon tends to go the way ATT goes though. In Feb, ATT sent out letters to all unofficial tether(er)s and demanded they stop or...
