Yeah, me too here in the UK. Thankfully I'm on holiday from work at the moment so the timing could be great. Sitting at home watching out the window club, Forfar branch. :)

I live in the UK and have a plan that gives me unlimited data (which also allows me to tether up to 12Gb/m) for £25/m (about $30 at the moment). I believe these things are more expensive in the USA and Canada though.

This is the point I was making. I have a Chromebook Pixel so am well used to this. The thing is, Google make it so easy.

Google seem to be trying to create a premium brand so it's highly unlikely any price drops will happen. As raqball points out, the Pixel products sold by Google so far bear this out.

If you make more use of the cloud you'll be fine. I understand data use is more expensive across the Atlantic but if you have enough bandwidth you can cloud store most things these days. I have a 16Gb Nexus 5X at the moment and rarely have space problems as I keep all my photos, music, video, et...

TBH, it's a bit rubbish if they don't extend this to the UK. :(

If the previous definition of pure Android for the Nexus devices was Android as Goggle intended then that's surely what the Pixel phone will be. OK, it's going to have some stuff no other devices will have but, as the owner of the platform, this is going to be how Google want it to be.

I've ordered a quite black. The silver is nice but, being a man, I prefer a black phone. :)

I ordered the Pixel 32GB black on launch day. I accept I am a sucker and google fanboy. I feel some shame but it'll go so nicely with my Chromebook Pixel. :)
