Before flashing to an AOSP ROM, make sure you have a gps lock first (have maps open) before booting into recovery. That seems to do the trick for me. Sent from my BLACKSOURC3 using Tapatalk

Sounds like you have it fixed but I had a similar issue once where I couldn't get past the white HTC screen. Someone recommended using an older version of clockwork recovery (all the way at the bottom in ROM Manager). That worked like a charm. Sent from my SHIFTAO5P using Tapatalk
