Ha! So, I put the motherboard in in the oven at 180°C (356 F) for 10 minutes and it's working again! Still, the Oneplus 3 is going to be a nice replacement.

Hi bosn45 and H3aTeRzz, Can you try to turn on your phone and wait until it's completely booted. Is it functional then? If so, remove your flip cover/case or whatever and firmly push your finger against the back to the left of the power button and below the infra red sensor (black thingy). Now...

Hi Humston, I know you tried 2 original batteries and conclude that this is not the cause and solution, but still it looks exactly like the issue I had. I solved it with a third battery. The first one died and the second one (new, original) died in a day. The third a cheap-*** thing from Ebay...

Hi @Adrianna Isabella, This is a very well known issue. There are two main solutions: the paper trick - tape a piece of paper at the phone's back, left to the power button and beneath the IR sensor put it in an over at about 180 degrees celcius for 10 minutes. There's a lot more info...

@Vahooli too bad. I didn't get any reboot with the new batteries. Maybe it helps if you make sure the battery fits tightly into your phone. If it doesn't, just add anything (like a piece of paper) to press it. And else, yeah sell or get rid of it. AND You're welcome :)

@Maiara Candido it may do the same thing. Of course not all LG G3 devices do have this issue. Though a lot do have it. Anyway, if this explanation is true, you may want to keep it out of direct sunlight and not try to heat your phone up at all:

Actually I did, until today. Another issue occured, the blue screen error. Anyway, I do have three batteries, including the one with the strip and they all are working fine. If I remove the strip, it's immediately getting into the bootloop afterwards. I hope Lollipop will work for you.

In case you want to test the 'small chance' N4Newbie's talks about you could screw the back cover off and try to reconnect the camera connector. It's worth the try.
