So, if I still have baseband version I897UCJF6 (since I have not received the OTA update) and I do not have the three button reset available to me, is COG still a smart upgrade for me to try?

Is the update to the baseband worth it? I have the JF6 version and not sure if I want to make the move to the current version available. I do not use tethering, but it seems like a nice option and I like the idea of having it built in vs. installing apps. I do not have three button reset...

I picked up 5 different color cases and a charger at Amazon for $6.00. At this point, they seem to do the job.
