Android 4.4.4 AOSP Based d2lte Nightlies

Cyanogenmod is deunifying builds for the Samsung Galaxy S3. Starting with Android 5.0, there are no longer d2lte builds. Apparently, they've been having a lot of problems with the unified builds, probably because of GSM and CDMA not playing well with each other. Samsung Galaxy S3 builds will be...

Android 4.4.4 AOSP Based d2lte Nightlies

Have some additions to the list for you. I found the last official Gummy ROM d2lte build over on XDA. It is Android 4.4.4. Personally, I think it really sucks that Team Gummy was forced to stop making ROMs. Gummy was one of my favorites. Even though, there won't be any updates after the last...

Installing custom ROM without power button (S3 SGH-i747)

You can download the Commandr for Google Now app. It adds a bunch of voice commands to Google Now. You can also use it to reboot, reboot into recovery, and turn off your phone through Google Now...Although, you probably don't want to use it to turn off your phone if your power button is stuck.

Android 4.4.4 AOSP Based d2lte Nightlies

I think it just comes down to personal preference. I've been using the BMS kernel mostly. The dev does frequent updates with it. Just recently, I've been trying leankernel. I think it's sped up my phone quite a bit. But it's probably because the default Dalvik read ahead value is 2048...

    MIUI v5 Android 4.4.4 d2lte

I think quite a few of you would like this. I was roaming around XDA and found MIUI d2lte builds. It's Android 4.4.4. You do have to flash Android 4.4.4 GAPPS along with the ROM. MIUI is a very popular ROM and these d2lte builds work great. Flash in this order: 1) MIUI d2lte build 2) Android...

Android 4.4.4 AOSP Based d2lte Nightlies

Alright, I have quite a few additions to the list. I found a new ROM the other day. It's called BlissStalk ROM. It's a great and stable ROM. Many features to choose from. It's based on the BeanStalk ROM.. BeanStalk is one of my favorite ROMs, so it's great having another ROM based on it. I...

Android 4.4.4 AOSP Based d2lte Nightlies

I just saw that. About to post it to the list with a bunch of other builds I found in the last couple days.

Android 4.4.4 AOSP Based d2lte Nightlies

Yeah, I was half asleep also when I downloaded it. Probably wasn't fully awake when I flashed it. Seems to be running pretty smoothly. An unofficial LiquidSmooth 3.2 d2lte build was also released today. The link for that is in the Unofficial Builds section. I've heard about Cyanfox. So, if they...

Android 4.4.4 AOSP Based d2lte Nightlies

Looks like I was wrong. Joe Carbone just released an unofficial DU 8.1 d2lte build. I thought he might be done with d2lte builds. It's in his Google+ page. The link is in the Unofficial Builds section. His builds are just as good as Alex Cruz's. I'm about to flash it. I saw that others said it...

Android 4.4.4 AOSP Based d2lte Nightlies

First of all, it comes with great sadness that I had to take Gummy ROM off the list. They lost funding for a host server and had to call it quits. It was one of my favorite ROMs. Will be missed. I added another ROM to the list. It's the Validus ROM. I've ran it for a bit. Seemed quite stable...

Android 4.4.4 AOSP Based d2lte Nightlies

I hope Alex Cruz makes an 8.1 build also. I'm currently using the 8.0 build and just flashed leankernel. It definitely sped up my GS3 a bit. Making it run smoother also. Joe Carbone no longer has a GS3. So, the chances of him making more d2lte builds are slim now. He is making Spirit ROM...

My s3 from verizon (sch-1535) wont accept any custom recovery

I had this problem with my phone as well. I have a Virgin Mobile GS3. I tried for hours to install CWM on my phone and it wouldn't take. Thankfully, someone pointed me to Philz Touch Recovery: Philz. I used Odin to install it from my computer: Odin. Download the newest Philz Touch Recovery...

    Final S3 Rooting Questions

Knox doesn't really affect rooting. I guess it does if you're not paying attention to what you're doing. If you flash a wrong .zip file, it'll hard brick your phone. Since you don't have it, it's nothing to worry about. I'd suggest using a custom recovery, even though you're not going to use...

Android 4.4.4 AOSP Based d2lte Nightlies

I agree. Both apps make it incredibly easy to install ROMs. To go through an the features and settings in Dirty Unicorns, it takes me 15-20 minutes to set my preferences, 12 being the fastest if I'm really pushing it. With the ROM Settings Backup app, just takes a couple taps on the screen, a...

Android 4.4.4 AOSP Based d2lte Nightlies

Alex Cruz released another Dirty Unicorns 8.0 d2lte test build. Currently running it now and it seems quite stable. I had some problems with overheating with the last build. This one doesn't seem to have those problems. The OmniROM status/navigation bar dynamic color changer is awesome. It's...
