Hello, Quick question, and sorry if it's a dumb one. Have my Nexus 5 arriving today and want to root it as soon as possible. When I first power it up will I take the Kit Kat update, then root, and then take the Kit Kat update again after everything resets? Thanks for any help!

So if we disable these apps do we have to reenable them in order to receive future updates? If so, how do you do so?

I too can confirm that this works. Unrooted to participate in the 902 soak test. Just got back root using this.
