    Oh boy! Updates coming?

Yeah, from the article it looks like two updates. One to match up with the UK update, and a future one with 4.2.2 and Sense 5.1 - that's the one I'd be interested in. More to see if they've taken feedback from blinkfeed/sense and improved the experience than anything

    Oh boy! Updates coming?

Hmm, the UK version didn't actually update Android. It's still on 4.1.2, Sense 5.0. It arrived soon after I got my phone so can't tell if battery or camera has improved. Is the US release a newer update?

What Case Do You Have, Do You Like It? (Case Reviews)

Incipio feather. Good mix of slim profile, minimal protection (I only want to stop minor scuffs, I don't intend to play catch with the phone). Looks wise, fits in well with the HTC One design. Well recommended

    I feckin knew it ......

Sorry, I meant just picking an android phone with a bigger battery was accepting that this is the best we get. I'm not using 4g capability, would I still be affected? But yes, I agree, with power saver on and DS battery saver, I'm getting equivalent ios battery efficiency - which is what I was...

    I feckin knew it ......

Thanks. Yeah, not the same thing, that's accepting that android is simply inefficient. Using power save mode, I don't believe that to be the truth.

    I feckin knew it ......

My point running on 3G was that the LTE/4g should have no impact on battery drain, especially in standby - it should be directly comparable. And yes, i need my phone on, not in airplane mode I'm afraid, I need to be able to receive calls. Yes, I can and will plug my phone in nightly, that...

    I feckin knew it ......

Yeah, that was me. I think in terms of battery, you're going to be a little disappointed like me. I assume this is probably the same with any Android phone. But not disappointed enough in terms of the upsides of the phone elsewere (i.e. user experience). It should still last you the day, just...

    I feckin knew it ......

I'd point out I'm in the UK running 3g, exactly like my iPhone 4 with minimal widgets. There is no doubt in my mind that android is the better experience, but the iPhone certainly sets a higher expectation in terms of battery life. I would hope that in standby I would have at least equivalent...

Black one doesn't stand up well to everyday use.

Yep, I did weigh in as a naked black HTC One user. First week, no issues, even with accidentally leaving coins in pockets. The biggest problem I have is worrying about dust getting through the speaker grills!

    I feckin knew it ......

So: Last night I took a screenshot before I went to bed. On waking up, it looked like it had dropped 1% per hour. Probably not bad for you lot, but I'm certain this was better on my iPhones. I have medium signal over that period, with DS battery saver set to gentle (data and wifi set to wake...

    I feckin knew it ......

I've had similar expereriences and just thought I was an android newbie not having setup the phone right. I've spent the whole week trying to identify what been going on, there's nothing particularly obvious. HTC linked in seemed to be taking a lot of power considering I hadn't set it to sync...

Black one doesn't stand up well to everyday use.

I've had the black one naked for a week now and it's still flawless. That despite finding a couple of coins in the same pocket -_- I expect in a couple of years time it will be like my iPhone 4, minor scratch marks everywhere but to really noticeable. I can live with that. From my experience I...

    Going Back to iPhone 5

Re: Going Back to Iphone 5 Of course I could jailbreak my iphone as I previously have done, or I could just buy an android phone and be able to do all those things out of the box and still be supported by the manufacturer. For my lifestyle, which is zero personnel time due to a young family...

    Going Back to iPhone 5

Re: Going Back to Iphone 5 I switched to Android HTC One from 4 years as an iPhone user, there's no way I'm going back :) Things that sold me: 1. Widgets: brilliant 2. Trace keyboard, how can I type any other way now?! 3. Being able to turn my bluetooth on and off easily when in the car. It...

HTC One's Camera Greatly Improved With Software Update

I'm pretty sure when updating, the release notes did specify camera tuning improvements. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to confirm as I'm a poor photographer, they'd all look the same to me!
