Thanks for the info everyone! Hadn't thought of using a separate phone app - I've always used stock. Any recommendations? Like when I'm calling someone and the ring fades in and out? I've noticed that on my Pixel 2 and it's kind annoying.

Is there any way to disable this? I have keypad tones disabled and everything but any time I end a call it makes a very very loud beep.

NFC is off. It's not a clicking but a varied high pitched ringing, very slight but it's noticeable in silent patches of the conversation. It doesn't happen on speaker phone.
