Devil's advocate - Why did Sprint release the Evo before the epic?

I think this dead horse has pretty much been beaten... chasing technology like this is a never ending game and it costs a lot to stay in front of the wave and always have the new, hot device. Either be ready to pay a lot of money to be a beta tester or just be patient and wait six months for...

    The most important question...

Hahaha, I remember those days back when I suprisingly very gladly gave up my keyboard to switch to the Hero and its awful laggy virtual KB. It appears Samsung has finally figured this stuff out and did not rush this to market nearly as badly as the moment. Also, since this is the third galaxy...

    Epic Versus Evo

Get the EPIC if you: -really like playing games on your mobile -Take a lot of pictures and videos and quality is very important to you Get the EVO if you: -want a larger screen (~10% is not a small amount!) -think you will use the kickstand (it is quite handy) -want a thinner phone in your...

    EPIC Speedtest Results?

EPIC seems to be running a little faster than the EVO. Fastest speed yet on my home WIFI is 12mbps on speedtest.net app Fastest 4g was about 5mbps in the Nashville area on 440W using speedtest.net app.

    4g confirmation

Also, I picked up a lot strong 4G signals in the Atlanta area when I was there with my EVO. Both cities seemed to range in the 2 to 4 mbs bandwidth.

    4g confirmation

Pretty much anywhere near a major highway around the Nashville, TN area. They are filling in the voids pretty quickly!

    Dust under the screen

Wow, this is the first I have seen of this. And we all thought HTC was the only manufacturer to do this! Very curious to see if others find dust under their screens.

got charged a "premium service fee" for using an app

Very curious to know what the app is... What was the shortcode that these txt messages were being fired from? This is something that needs to be reported to google if it is not somehow a mistake.

    need some info

there were some people that messed up their 4G when they rooted with the second unrevoked patch - it was not the unrevoked group's fault... they were using the same radio patch that others were using as If you were one of those people, then you could have messed up the radio. There is a fix...

Light leakage from ports on bottom of EVO.

I have slight light leakage, but no screen separation. It does not bother me, though. This is a common problem with the housings of a lot of electronics. I will probably glue it as well if I find the time on a rainy day, but that is not likely. haha

Evo to iphone 4 and back to EVO!

Jobs will do everything in his power to keep this from happening. He has to keep all his users in a tight fishbowl blissfully unaware that there are other options that are just as good or better at doing the same things and running the same apps. They are currently gestapo style threatening...

multitask manager - anyone else using this?

Yes, I think multitask manager is pretty good, but after using it for a while I think it still has a few wrinkles to iron out. @Ezence01 For an advanced user it is nice to be able to kill poorly written apps that are memory/processor hogs. I rarely kill apps, but there are a few that I have...

The X is not an iPhone killer, it's a Blackberry killer

There do seem like a lot of people putting down blackberries lately for all the new android phones.

New to Android First phone is X

    1. Sort of... it means loading apps straight to your phone from your computer. 2. Yes, if you install the SDK, you will have the ability to ADB push apps onto your phone, but there should be easier ways to do it. 3/4. This is a confusing subject, so I will try to give you the nutshell. ROM...
