This worked for me... After installing Wakelock Detector (free from Google Play), I found that NLP Collector and another similarly named device was stopping my phone going to deep sleep. There are a couple of services that you can find under 'Manage Applications' that should have be cleared...

Wakelock Detector I'm the Play Store was very helpful telling me *why* my phone was losing 20% overnight. (NLP Collector wakelock) After that, the thing that fixed it was clearing the cache of a couple of processes. Just switching off location reporting in settings didn't do anything for me.

I'm also getting notifications (randomly, but on average every 10 minutes, or so), even though according to my notification bar at the top of the screen, nothing has happened. I continue to get the alerts even when Account Sync is turned off. Only had phone 1 day, but already got loads of apps...

Used Handcent, liked it, but it had loads of unnecessary (for me) features. Just installed Textra. Nice and slick feel. One feature I would like though is delayed/scheduled messaging. Just found SMS Scheduler - will prob use that with Textra.

I doubt the developer(s?) have enough time to give full individual replies to everyone that contacts them with feature requests, bug reports etc. Probably just got a bit of paper with a list numbered 1 to 100. If enough people write about the same thing, that item gets pushed up the list. R.
