Have you held the phone yet? I find it feels exceptionally well in hand, it's not your typical cold, slippery gloss back. You can order the different color options, two reds and one gray.

Be careful what sim adapter you use with the G4. I had a G3 and one of the lower quality adapters I had got stuck and I had to get the tray replaced. I now only use this adapter because it's such a snug fit...

I've had nothing but good luck with Anker batteries; I can't speak specifically to their replacement for the G3 though. It gets favorable reviews on XDA and on Amazon...

Welcome to the club; I'm quite happy with my S5 Active but that's this week. I tend to change phones more than my underwear. I have yet to find a phone that handles outdoor light better, I haven't found the detail on it but it has some form of ultra saturation mode that washes out some colors...

The XDA consensus is that for the S5/S5 Active you do want to use only the Stock Slot as it is the only one showing no issues. If you mess things up you can flash the phone back to stock with the various ODIN packages out there.

Can't get the Active anywhere but AT&T. Sprint has the "sport" version but it's not quite the same.

Have you tried Samsung support? Recently sent in a broken sim slot Note 2 and they sent back a new phone for $75. Use their new Hangouts support, it's fast and the people I've worked with on it were very knowledgeable. Smart Personal Online Training

I know this sounds overly simplistic but I've found that since it's a flat back phone I can put it in my pocket screen out and never have a tap on issue. Might be a risk for impact but hey that region is always at risk of impact. :-!

I purchased the Luvvit tempered glass protector because I had noticed on other tempered glass protectors the oleophobic coating was better than stock. This turned out to be true for my S5 active, I do actually "Luvvit." Use this search string in Amazon, it's bit pricey but I'm very happy...
