Google Pixel 2 Camera Shots! Show Us Your Pictures

Shrano, Which Samsung phone(s) did you have? Did they have a two lens system? Optical zoom is true zoom, using actual magnifying glass lenses to accomplish it. Digital zoom is simply enlarging a photos digitally so that the extra pixels are extrapolated from the existing picture -- basically...

Problems with image quality NOT taken on S7 Edge.

Afraid I can't help you solve the problem, but I don't understand the people saying they can't see a difference in these two pictures. I can plainly see the second one is darker blue then the first. The darker picture is not necessarily unpleasant, but it is obviously different. I do think...

HTC One (M8) Photos & Videos Thread

Re: Share your HTC One (M8) photos and videos! Does the phone allow you to adjust the UFocus masking feature at all? I mean can you adjust what is included in the focussed area?

HTC One (M8) Photos & Videos Thread

Re: HTC One (M8) Photo's & Video Thread I am strongly considering this phone and appreciate the sample photos being posted here. By and large the photos look pretty good. I think the Ufocus feature can be improved by later firmware updates, if HTC will do it. Has HTC been good about firmware...

    Wait. What? Verizon EDGE surprise

True on both counts. I asked today about my ETF and they told me it was $180, which seems a little high considering I am 75% of the way through my contract. I was expecting something more like $75-100 myself. So I should theoretically be able to pay the ETF to terminate the contract then be...

    Wait. What? Verizon EDGE surprise

OK ... very interesting discussion. I am considering doing this too. I've got 6 months left on my contract iphone 5 but am sorely tempted by the new One. Please check my math for me for 3 options: Standard subsidized price when contract is over in 6 months $200 down [maybe less by then] + ($40...

    HTC One (M8) camera discussion

It appears that the dimensions of photos taken with the HTC One M8 camera are 2688 x 1520 (strange size!). Photo quality is arguably accepted to be 300 dpi on paper, so dividing the length and width by 300 yields an acceptable photo print of roughly 9 inches by 5 inches -- again, a very...

How amazing is the Note 3?

Sorry, I'm not making light of your issues, but I had to LOL at the complaint that the phone drops calls that are only going next door. The distance to the other party is pretty irrelevant. It's the distance to the cell towers and quality of signal that matter.

How amazing is the Note 3?

I'm afraid this is an example of where Apple does things right. Phone screwing up? Here's a new one. Back up the old one with icloud or itunes, restore the new one from the backup and it's like a clone of your original phone. Up and running in minutes.

I really want to like Android

A-ha! What state is that in? In Florida I think they outlawed all texting, even when you do it through a handsfree method like Siri.

Upon closer inspection, I believe you may be right. There actually is a gun in that picture. I missed it the first time. ;-)

Who is glad they got a gs4 vs waiting for the iPhone 5s

OK, yes, megapixels do make a difference it you plan to crop heavily. And I've never used an HTC One so I can't comment on the quality of its camera. There are many factors that influence the quality of picture a camera cam take, like lens quality and jpg compression algorithm. Going from 1 to...

Is the S4 able to take pics of your moving kids indoors, without blur?

This answer is correct. Three things control the exposure of a picture: shutter speed, ISO and aperture. To take pictures in low light, you need to let more light in by either leaving the shutter open longer (slower shutter speed), wider aperture (bigger hole for the light to pass through) or...
