You're not alone. I too find stock Android to be too boring for my tastes. TouchWiz fits my needs just fine, and I'm happy with my Samsung devices after switching from iOS.

This is happening to me as well. I'm located in Puerto Rico, and I've ever had a problem with searching for apps before. It also won't display results on the web version of the Play Store on my Windows PC.
