The gray one was briefly available on launch day and I managed to get one. It looks really nice on the phone, and I like having the Nexus name on it, but it is a bit slippery to hold, and also it makes the phone quite a bit wider, making it harder for one handed use.

I don't have an answer for you, sadly, but I can confirm this has been happening to me as well. Seems to have been since they pushed the latest voice search additions after the I/O keynote. It takes several seconds sometimes after tapping the search button before I hear the chime that prompts me...

It works well enough but there are things about it that annoy me. Like when I set a reminder, say, "Wake me up in an hour" - it does this just fine, but it doesn't remove the one time alarm afterwards! What a pain.

I I know this doesn't really answer your question, but have you tried google voice? I've been using that for my voicemail instead of at&t voicemail and I think it's just like visual voicemail. It shows a list of messages, and let you play them individually. It's also got the benefit of getting...
