    Battery life worse after reboot.

AGAIN!!! I just updated 21 apps, started at 90% which quickly dropped to 89% as soon as I put on WIFI, took about an hour and battery dropped to 75% ... PLUGGED IN. it is now at 74% plugged in & the WIFI on. Also, yesterday at 92% plugged in and charging it told me it would be 1 HOUR & 17...

    Battery life worse after reboot.

WOW! To the OP this may give you a clue. I just restored my Nexus 7. I deliberately put in a gmail address I did not use with this tablet. I turned the WIFI off, so mind you, I did not do any updates. It was nice to see the 'setting' area so empty o one screen :) When I started the restore I...

    Battery life worse after reboot.

Thank you. Yes, I did and yes, I know... something I suspected I was going to have to do again all the while it may not make a difference, but giving it a go anyway.

    Battery life worse after reboot.

Thank you, yes, I am aware of that BUT it continues to drop. After I posted that, it continued to drop to 94% without me using it... it was just plugged in, WIFI was turned off, nothing running, not even in the background. Something is wrong and I am not sure anyone can really answer this. The...

    Battery life worse after reboot.

Case in point. I deleted apps I added on, all of 6! Plugged in, staying at 100%. I went into that website where I can chat. I didn't even go in chat and the battery dropped to 99%... still plugged in. I got out of the site, deleted my browsing history and right now, the battery is still...

    Battery life worse after reboot.

I am in the same boat *** you are and yes, I did all the things that are listed above. My battery is draining while I am online at home with only Chrome running looking at CNN!! I posted this to the Nexus 7 forum today: HELP!!! Bear with me here... I NEVER been on a website on my Nexus 7 that...

    Lollipop 5.1.1 Already

HELP!!! Bear with me here... I NEVER been on a website on my Nexus 7 that drains... ie. FaceCrap or a messenger app, etc. until a few weeks ago, for the first time, I logged into Hangouts to chat with someone and a site I am on where I went into their chat area. Never did that before. I knew...

    Apps and Privacy

Sorry, I am not much help with that. I had no idea that was possible and you say you can with Internet Explorer?

    Apps and Privacy

True, but what about the Google Apps on my Nexus that are already on my tablet such as YouTube which is invasive and cannot be removed, only disabled. I can pick and choose what to add on but with the Apps by default, well, there's not anything you can do about that.

    Apps and Privacy

I opened up Google Maps update. This was disturbing: "Directly call phone numbers: Allows the App to call phone numbers without your intervention. This may result in unexpected charges or calls. Note that this doesn't allow the App to call emergency numbers. Malicious Apps may cost you...

    Apps and Privacy

I posted this wondering if anyone can shed some light on why and how these invasions of privacy updates exist. I was wondering if this is a more appropriate forum for me to post this. Initially I posted it here http://forums.androidcentral.com/tablet-apps/264371-apps-privacy.html I apologize...

    Apps and Privacy

Sorry, I should have mentioned that the App you listed is a good idea to get. Especially for those who have updates automatically set so they can see what the App has been up to.

    Apps and Privacy

Thanks, but I already know what they are doing and invasive Apps that I can do without, I do without. But honestly, I like to have YouTube, for example. Unfortunately Google Apps like Google Search and Google+ control your camera without your knowledge and Google Play Movies and TV, which I do...

    Apps and Privacy

I know, it's weird isn't it? I gather many people have their devices to update automatically and never see the details. I also think that these types of updates are common for Apple and other Android devices; it's just that they are obligated to disclose everything, which is understandable...

    Apps and Privacy

I apologize if this was posted before, I searched and did not find a similar thread. I have my tablet set to not update automatically. I like to see what is being put on my tablet. My question is, what is up with Apps and breaching privacy, like allowing Pandora and YouTube to randomly turn...
