    Battery won't charge past certain percentage

    From the last paragraph, if it drops quickly it often means that the battery is dieing. I personally would just buy a new one, it is not worth the hassle to mess around with it.

    Error 504 while installing app

    Are you using Wi-fi or mobile data such a 4g? When I last had that error it was simply turning the 4g bundle on and off. I found that trick here, idk it might also have some solutions for you.
