I agree with going with the Note 5. The Edge screen is more of a novelty there is not much function available for it. My biggest gripe is the lack of good cases/holsters.

I did do the factory reset and it has fixed my problems except the auto screen brightness feature. Performing the factory reset is a very big hassle, you lose all your app data, you have to download apps all over again and you have to go through the hoops of setting all your accounts up again...

I too am experiencing this problem. Auto screen brightness worked well on 4.4.4. Now it's terrible. This along with other issues makes me wish I could go back to KitKat. :'(
