I doubt I'll even notice if VM starts throttling me. My 3G is normally barely usable at best. I always have to point the back of my phone NE to even get a page to load. Can't imagine the service being crappier than it already is. And the fact that they just increased the price on 2 of the 3...

Thanks for the info. I'm pretty sure I can keep from factory resetting my phone, but my GF, not so much.

Are there any custom ROMs that have the factory data reset option in the settings menu disabled or removed?

thewraith420 Yeah, I'm downloading from my phone. Others have confirmed the problem with downloading IMG files to their phones. Just need to rename the extension, the file is good. Thanks for your effort.

Haven't tried but it should work since the md5 is a match. I'd just like to know why its happening.

I've tried downloading the file VM670NH_recovery.img several times from every link I can find and it is always named VM670NH_recovery.txt. The md5 is a match but I have to rename the extension from txt to img. Does anyone know why this is happening, I am not the only one to have this problem...

Yes, step 4 SAYS .IMG And the link page SAYS .IMG But when I download the file it IS a .TXT file I have downloaded four times and it is a 4.01MB TXT file every time. Can anyone confirm this.
