Agreed. It's not so much that the auto-focus doesn't work just that it can be very slow. A wait of a few seconds will annoy impatient family members! Following this, I've switched to Open Camera and initially it seems better at auto focus.

I got it on Friday, 24-Nov-2017, model TA-1012. I was on the Oreo Beta Programme - don't know it that makes any difference. So far looks pretty solid. Fixed the quiet ringer/notification volume issue I experienced in the beta. The November security update came through a couple of days later.
