My front camera is poor quality too and has a fairly severe "fish eye" effect whereby the edges of the picture are stretched out - if someone's face is towards the edge of a pic it will be stretched to twice its width and look ridiculous/fat.

Hey, this happens to me too. Really annoying. After coming up with the error message there's then an option to decrypt as well as encrypt. Hitting encrypt again just ends up with the same error. At least selecting decrypt seems to restore all the data (which isn't visible after encrypting)...
