I have a Pixel 2XL (purchased just before the release of the Pixel 3) and the Android update seems to have caused battery drain. The battery life seems shorter and just about gets through half the day before it hits 50%. My battery life was better before this update. Anyone else having this issue?

Yes, I was having the same thoughts. But, suddenly today, Google Contacts is working again.

It seems there may have been a glitch yesterday. I tried all kinds of steps to correct it, as described above, and nothing worked. Today, it's working. So maybe it was an issue on Google's end at the server level? There has been no update to the app itself since Sept.

My phone shows "saving to [redacted]@gmail.com" which is the email address associated with my Google Contacts account.
