    Oversaturation on the S7 Edge

I don't have my GS7E yet (it is being delivered today), but my bet is that it is working as designed. I'm betting that Samsung assumes people to have the best visual experience when playing a game so the phone automatically switches into saturation mode when the game starts, and then reverts...

Simply - Yes or No? Google screwed up this release.

Yes. Absolutely. Completely botched. And, what's worse, it's obvious they either don't know or don't care. Either way, it doesn't reflect well on Google.

Is Google too big to worry about satisfaction?

There is no such thing as too big to worry about [customer] satisfaction. If a company is enormous (like Google), it can survive for a decent amount of time even if its customer service is horrible. Eventually, however, it will catch up and the company will suffer as a result. This N7...

Send a complaint to Google Play about Nexus 7 shipping

Again, I have to disagree. Gamestop is intimately familiar with getting guidance when they can and can't sell something. So, the very fact that Gamestop is selling the N7 across the board means that Google has okayed it. There's no other way it could be. Every now and then, with hot items...

Send a complaint to Google Play about Nexus 7 shipping

Mr. Bauman, I have read a number of your posts that are a variation on the same thing. Respectfully, I have to disagree with what you say about retail. My background, by the way, is years of experience at Best Buy as not only a department supervisor for several departments, but also as a...

[POLL] How likely to buy from play store after this experience

Re: [POLL] How likely to buy frm play store after this experience This whole experience has left a really bad taste in my mouth. I guess, like the OP, I have been incredibly spoiled by Amazon's customer service. I decided to give Google a shot with this, and I regret it. I doubt I will buy...

Just cancelled my Play store order

I don't know why this should surprise anyone. I think that Google has handled this thing really poorly. I don't know about you, but I abhor poor customer service. I have been in service industries my entire professional career, and I think that this is subpar at best. It makes me not want...

Just cancelled my Play store order

Actually I just had another thought... As the account that I had set my preorder to charge was my personal "fun money" account, and not any monthly bills or joint accounts, I just went ahead and cancelled the debit card and ordered a new one. I'm assuming that, even though they may already have...

Just cancelled my Play store order

I have actually considered emptying the bank account that the Google Play store took the authorization on. That would prevent them from being able to charge my account successfully. If they can't charge the account, then they won't ship the N7. It might be worth facing an overdraft fee from...

Just cancelled my Play store order

I just tried to cancel my preorder, too. Unfortunately, the representative told me that they were unable to cancel it as preorder shipment processing was already occurring. He mentioned that they might be able to do a stop shipment, but he couldn't guarantee it. I think Google has handled...

    Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire?

That's pretty cool. I still would, unfortunately, have to stream them. Whenever I watched video on my Fire, I usually did it when I knew I wasn't going to be in a wifi area, so I downloaded the movie to the tablet so that I could watch it anywhere. If I am somewhere there is wifi, I would...

    Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire?

I waffled back and forth on that quite a bit. In the end, the only thing I am losing is Amazon Instant Video on my tablet. I can still watch AIV on my Roku, Xbox, or laptop. What I gain, however, is something that the Kindle Fires will never have: access to the full android marketplace.

    Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire?

While I share your desire that the Kindle would open up more, I don't believe that will happen. Amazon has decided to follow the Apple marketing plan and create severe customer "lock-in" with their devices. To be fair, with the Google Play market, Google is going for the same thing.

    Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire?

Sadly, no. There are several reasons for this. First of all, amazon instant videos are flash based, and there will be no flash support for jellybean. That means no streaming amazon videos. The only way you can download an amazon instant video on a tablet, right now, is on the Kindle Fire...
