That "nextapp sdfix" sounded really nice. I thought, YAY; no problem. but then after I downloaded it (the easy part), I found my phone had to be "jail broke" or "rooted" as the Android folks call it. So, the "fix" is no fix at all. I don't know how to root. I've tried, but it's a vicious circle.

Can someone help me get my external micro SD card to work again? After AT&T updated my Galaxy Note 3 to the latest Android operating system (may I say, during the night WITHOUT my permission), suddenly I can not use my external micro SD card.

Yes .... it wiped me out. worked for hours wondering why I couldn't back up my data as usual to my MicroSD card. So what do I do? Do I see if it will restore to previous version?
