Absolutely. An old scam to get you to install malware.

Clearing the Google Play Store cache (in Task Manager) got rid of these annoying messages every few minutes, for me. No need to uninstall anything. I don't have Swype. [EDIT: Oh no it didn't. An hour or so later and it is back again.]
