This is a hardware issue. The lines may initially come and go but will eventually persist at some point. Best to get the phone repaired and be done with it.

It's going to take a week for mine. They are "waiting for a part"... grrrr..

Spoke to a Samsung rep this morning. This is apparently a hardware fault with a particular graphics/display component. Early revision devices are probably more susceptible. The only solution is to have the unit repaired. Sorry, but these annoyances happen in life from time to time I guess.
