Not sure if this will help anyone but I had the exact same problem on a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and the problem is now resolved!! I tried going into the phone app/icon and deleted the data and yes, the voicemail symbol disappears for a short time but then came back so I rang my service...

I've tried increasing the volume when 'she's' talking to no avail so perhaps there's something wrong with the Astra Intellilink software!!
