I think I need to rescind my recommendation of snaplock. It's killing my battery life! Any other recommendations?

Agreed with op. Not everyone wants their business broadcasted to anyone who happens to be nearby. Or in my case, a nosy 9-year-old. Stupid Lollipop. Many thanks to the person who recommended Snaplock. Not a perfect solution, but my icons are back, and I'm thrilled.

A huge thanks to the person who recommended Snaplock. It's not a perfect solution, but I can at least have my notification icons back on my lock screen where they belong. Definitely worth a try.
