Tried this on my s22ultra from Verizon and had the same issue with Verizon Messages plus. Never used that feature before, but it does work in Facebook and Tapatalk.

My Google Play Services says it's July 1st, but the version number is the latest reported by the Play Store. I'm wondering if there is some sort of bug that reports the wrong date even if it's properly updated.

Thanks, I checked reddit and saw the numerous brickings. I'll just have to watch my battery levels and make sure I don't let it run dry.

I'm curious how widespread this is and how far along Samsung is to fixing the issue. Updates are usually pretty infrequent on the watches.

I used to have that problem regularly on my home router, but it finally stopped about 2 updates ago. It only happened when I 1st connected after getting home, but it was fine after a reconnection.

Nope, everything was still there. And it is working fine today. Of course, Verizon decided to do an update while I'm in the process of having Internet set up at a new house, so I don't have WiFi.
I've been using mine since June '16. Just needs to be restarted regularly. Also as mine uses 3G as well as BT, I run it on 3G when I'm doing a lot of movement and have BT disabled so battery lasts longer.
People see adds for them via Facebook and install them because the ad says your phone is infected. I deal with customers that will have 3+ AV, cleaner, and security apps due to this everyday.
Re: Samsung/Apple fined
Reality is that most phones will slow down after major OS updates. The same is true in the PC world. People just need to realize that if you want your device to stay the same, then never update it.
